Baiju came into film industry as a child artist. Balachandra Menon introduced Baiju in the movie Maniyanpillai adhava Maniyanpillai in the year 1982. A case was registered against him in 2005 for assaulting and threatening to kill a businessman and also for keeping pistol legally, during the electioneering, though he had license to carry.
