Women, beware! The vaginal irrigators can lead to cancer

Women who are rinsing their vagina often think that it is an obligatory part of the regular care. It is when they prepare for the physical contact and / or when shower after contact. And all this is because they have heard from their friends. Unfortunately none of them are aware that it can be very harmful.

Reasons to avoid vaginal irrigators / douching:
○ Vaginal flora have its natural process for cleaning, the irrigators are totally unnecessary.
A healthy vagina is colonized by a mutually symbiotic flora of microorganisms that are naturally present and, most of the time, this maintains normal vaginal flora. Although doctors don’t recommend the irrigators, most of women continue to use it.

○ May cause preterm labor
Never ever use vaginal irrigators during pregnancy Douching increases risk of bacterial infection which may harm the pregnancy and the baby. Douching is also linked to low birth weight and preterm labor.

○ May cause abnormal pregnancy
Studies showed that women who douched regularly and later became pregnant had higher rates of ectopic pregnancy, infections, and low birth weight infants than women who only douched occasionally or who never douched.

○ Irrigator can increase the risk of ovarian cancer and it’s linked with infections in that area.

Recent research added this as a reason for ovarian cancer.“ Gynecologists warn women to not use irrigator for vagina hygiene” says Joel Brown, epidemiologist.

Ovarian tumor is a silent killer and the symptoms cannot be noticed in the early stage.
Ovarian cancer refers to any cancerous growth that occurs in the ovary. The majority of ovarian cancers arise from the epithelium (outer lining) of the ovary.
