Mamta Mohandas is excited about her role in Thoppil Joppan and has fair expectations about its success. She says that all her movies were paired with Dileep and although this is different there is a certain magical chemistry between us. She plays the role of Maria, a medical college student and Mamta says she especially loved the song where she dances in the rain (enjoying nature). She points out that in the film “Even though we have a huge age difference, Mamookka and I come together in the end. Which is kind of a romantic suspense in the end.”
Mamta aside from the talks about newly released Thoppil Joppan, talks about her suffocating divorce. She believes that her partner’s trust on her was disrespectful. Apparently, Her life in Los Angeles has given a new perspective of men who are brought up differently and have different liberal views about women. She believes that her husband is treating her in a suppressed way, like her success isn’t a reason for her empowerment. Mamta’s ex Husband once asked her “Why do I need to ask you how you are doing, when the whole world is doing that anyway.?” Well such a question obviously comes out of an ego clash from your married life partner. We hope success finds Mamta on the way and all the very best for Thoppil Joppan.
